The IGTO is a breakthrough advancement in semiconductor device physics. It is a silicon device, and is a drop-in replacement for IGBTs that provides a significant performance upgrade.
Put simply, IGTOs are:
Efficient
IGTOs feature incredibly-low conduction losses, with VCE,SAT about 50% lower than most modern IGBTs, under real-world operating conditions.
Plus, IGTO switching losses are lower than most IGBTs, too.
Scalable
Pakal IGTOs integrate our patented SuperBallastTM technology, making them inherently scalable.
One high-current device, or multiple IGTOs connected in parallel. IGTOs can handle it.
Compatible
Pakal IGTOs are fully-compatible with existing IGBT supply chains.
